Kelly & Corina Taylor – The KCT Project

Helping others by offering hope & encouragement that no matter what your circumstances are, you can overcome anything by knowing and living Philippians 4:13: “Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can do all things through Christ which gives me strength.” We want to share our faith, strength & experience of how we have beat the odds by overcoming the obstacles we have been faced with and how YOU can too! You can turn your pain into purpose and your burdens into blessings!

Kelly was born and raised in northern Minnesota, Kelly loves anything active and outdoors. Growing up Kelly hunted & fished all the seasons. Although he would prefer to be in MN, Kelly has grown accustomed to the gorgeous Arizona weather and scenery.

Growing up in MN with a family history of loggers, Kelly has a love for the woods. He enjoyed both working in the woods logging and sawing lumber in a mill. After attending school for heavy equipment operations, he was a logger and ran heavy equipment on numerous jobs. As well, he worked at Red Rock Masonry in the Sedona, AZ area for two years at places like Slide Rock bridge and Lowell’s Observatory.

He has a strong interest for horsepower and fast cars! He loves to walk his dog, visit with neighbors, have coffee in the mornings with his friends, and spend time with his girls. Kelly married his sweetheart and had a beautiful Minnesota wedding with family and friends.

Shortly after, Kelly was paralyzed leaving him a quadriplegic after rolling a jeep at age 27. He has endured and has to deal with the guilt, shame, regret, sadness, chronic pain, depression, all the extensive health issues as well as all of the ongoing day-to-day needs he is now faced with. With these experiences he has the heart to help and encourage others as they work through their struggles. Kelly claims to be blessed beyond his wildest dreams and is thankful for having kids young.

Corina was born in Minnesota and raised in Minnesota, Missouri and Arizona. She is an AZ girl with her MN roots. Her family moved frequently so she met a lot of people, had many experiences, and has friends in several states with some amazing memories. Corina married at a young age and has 2 daughters. She started a Mary Kay business in 1994 when she was just 19 years old and continues to enjoy her marvelous customers today. She loves interior design, decorating and enjoys doing all her own painting. She also has a love for fashion.

Corina enjoyed many years in Church Ministry starting out teaching Preschool-Kindergarten Sunday School, then 1st-6th grade, also started and taught several kids programs, and taught in many Vacation Bible Schools as well as being Director. As her girls grew older her interest grew in starting a youth group along with a girls group for teens where she taught and organized as Youth Director. Corina has had a love for Jesus since a young age! And He is definitely her main focus in life, with her family next.

Her husband, Kelly, became a quadriplegic when paralyzed from rolling a jeep four years after they married. Corina was struck with this tragedy, turning her life upside down at age 22. The staff at the Hospital and Rehab Center told her she couldn’t bring Kelly home, that she wouldn’t be able to take care of him and that she wouldn’t even make it through the first weekend. Her Father as well told her not to bring Kelly home, that it’s too hard of a road for her. Corina committed then and continues to care for Kelly solely every day and night since 1997 fulfilling their vows for better for worse, in sickness and in health. Corina’s family means the world to her and is what brings her joy…she wouldn’t change a thing! When others told her she couldn’t and shouldn’t and that she should just give up, she was faithful to not be selfish and to persevere! Corina has a passion to help others by sharing their story on how they have beat the odds!

Our goal is to share with others the tragedy we have been faced with at such a young age, how we have made it through the last 18 years & how we have beat the odds! We want to help others by offering hope & encouragement that no matter what your circumstances are, you can overcome anything by knowing and living Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” We want to share our faith, strength & experience of how we have overcome the obstacles we have been faced with and how YOU too can turn your pain into purpose and your burdens into blessings!
